After having won the competition for the design of the Ground Zero in February 2003, Daniel Libeskind moved his headquarters to New York. Particular examples of his creations include: the Memoria e Luce, a memorial dedicated to the 11th of September, at Padua, and the Wohl Centre, in Tel Aviv.

The project: This project’s ambition is based on simple shapes which interlace between each other. The basis is adapted according to programmes (shops, offi ces, accommodation, spaces for events and education, and a platform accessible to the general public) which are superimposed to create a vibrant and appealing geometry. The call towards the lofty heights is symbolised by the green ribbon. All these components of life are connected between each other. In its very being, this skyscraper is the strongest vector of innovation in the environmental fi eld.
Its Leed Platinum qualifi cation is a defining element of this. From this requirement, the base of the project builds new links, re-assigns how space is used and creates a new environment right up to its summit.
